Registration

Upon registration, you will have your own bidder account and profile. You must be logged in to your account to access all our system features. We accept all major credit cards. The billing address within the bidder profile must ALWAYS match the billing address on the registered card. Just like you need to update your bank when you move, you need to update your bidder profile, otherwise your payment will be rejected for an address mismatch. We will authorize your card for $1 to authenticate, but this transaction will not be charged to your card.

Buyers Premium

15% Buyers premium is added to each item won.

Payment

Your registered card will be your primary form of payment for auctions, and it will automatically be charged for the balance of your winning items once the auction has ended.

15% buyer’s premium is added to each item won.

For example, if your winning bid is $100, the charge to your card will be $121 ($100 winning bid amount + $15 buyer’s premium + $6 tax).

Max Bid

A Max bid feature is available for your convenience. You set your budget for the item, and our system will automatically bid for you at the next minimum increment to keep you as the high bidder. As this feature is available to all users, situations arise where you may be competing against another max bid. If the current bid is beyond your max bid price, you may continue bidding as normal or enter a new max bid amount.

Watch List

While you are logged in to the website and viewing any auction, you will notice a Star (image blank) next to each item. Clicking on that hollow star will fill the star gold. This is our Watch List feature. The Watch List allows users to mark individual items they’re interested in. This is your ultimate tool to monitor items across single or multiple auctions. Users can place bids directly from this page or use it to simply save items you are interested in. This feature helps you stay organized and cancel out the noise.

Rolling Close

We use a rolling close feature for every auction, which means the entire auction does not end at the stated close time. For example, when a sale is set to close at 10 AM, the first group of lots listed will close at 10:01 AM, followed by the next group of lots at 10:02 AM, and so forth until all items have closed. The number of lots that our Rolling Close will range from two to four items and will be stated in each auction’s details. The only exception to this rule is extended bidding.

Extended Bidding

Should a bid be placed on an item within the final three minutes of its scheduled closing time, the system will automatically extend the bidding period for that item by an additional three minutes. This extension will be repeated until no further bids are made. It’s important to note that this extension applies only to the item receiving the late bids; the rest of the auction will proceed to close as scheduled. This practice, known in the industry as ‘anti-sniping,’ is designed to protect the interests of both our sellers and buyers, ensuring a fair and transparent bidding process.

Preview Items

We encourage you to take advantage of our previews for each auction. This is your opportunity to come to the auction site and put your eyes and hands on items of interest. You may inspect, test, precisely measure, and make sure the item suits your needs as all sales are final. If you are unable to attend the preview in person, give us a call at 804-361-4155 and we will do our best to answer any questions you have.

Pickup

You will receive an invoice after the auction is completed with a list of the items you won. Please bring a copy of your invoice, printed or digital. If your invoice indicates that you have a balance due, please make sure to utilize the online tools to update your payment method in your user profile and bring a copy of your paid receipt.  Pickup of your winnings occurs during the posted pickup window at your scheduled appointment time. Please ensure that you bring your own moving help, packing materials, tools and allow enough time to collect your items and be off premises by the listed pickup end time. Please call us if there is an issue with meeting the requirements for pickup. You can also have a friend or family member collect your items for you and we have resources for moving and shipping.

Sign Up Genius

We will advertise each new sale with a street name and zip code to give you a general location. When it comes time for you to schedule a preview or pickup appointment you will need to use Sign Up Genius to receive an exact location including the house number. Once you have signed up for an appointment time, you will receive a separate confirmation email containing the exact address.

Shipping

This is a service our team provides directly. If you require shipping of small items, please contact us at 804-361-4155 before pickup and let us know. Your prompt communication with us is necessary because once pickup is over, we do not return to the sale location and ensure we are able to bring the necessary materials and supplies to safely and securely transport and mail your items. We do not ship furniture, large items, heavy items, or any merchandise that does not ship easily. If you are unable to collect such items yourself, you must send or hire someone capable.

Movers

If you are unable pick up the items yourself on the advertised pick-up day, you may have a friend, family member or professional mover collect items for you. You may send or hire anyone you choose, and we provide a list of recommended movers available to you. Please contact movers with as much notice as possible prior to the scheduled pickup to ensure their availability as this is the only day available to do so.

Abandoned Items

Please understand that we are only at the pickup location during the advertised date and time. If your items have not been collected by the end of this pickup window, they will be deemed abandoned. There are no refunds for abandoned items.
We understand that life can be unpredictable, and emergencies happen. If you find you are unable to collect your items last minute, please contact us before the pickup window is over. We will do our best to work with you if we are still on site. We do not have access to the sale location after the pickup date and time.
