One call. We handle it all.
Clearing a parent’s home, downsizing, or getting a house ready to sell is a lot to carry. We take the whole job off your plate, from the first walk-through to the final statement.
✓ Online estate auctions
We come to the home, organize, photograph and describe everything, and run the sale online with a preview and a scheduled pickup day.
✓ Consignment sales
Pieces that fit a themed or seasonal sale go into one of our multi-consignor auctions, where they reach the right buyers.
✓ Buy It Now store
Some items sell best at a set price. Our Cardinal Direct store keeps them for sale between auctions.
✓ Pickup and moving
Need items moved out before a closing? We have trusted crews and movers to get it done.
✓ Shipping nationwide
Out-of-town buyers are welcome. Shipping is arranged for just about anything, which widens the pool of bidders.
✓ Clean-outs
After the sale, we can arrange a clean-out of what remains so the house is ready for the realtor or the new owner.
We bring the bidders
We don’t just list your items. We go out and get buyers. Every sale gets its own marketing push: our email list of active bidders, social media, national estate sale and auction sites, collector and dealer outreach, and Google-searchable pages like this one. Buyers come from across Virginia and around the country, because we ship.
More bidders means higher prices. That is the whole idea behind an online estate auction, and it is why we work so hard on marketing.
Paid quickly and on time
Our commitment to every family we serve is simple: you are paid within 30 days of each sale closing, once buyer payments clear, with a clear statement for every item and the price it brought. Some items may sell in different sales or in our store, so we can place each piece where it will do best.

Questions families ask
How much does an estate liquidation cost?
We work on commission, so we are paid from what your items sell for. Optional services like moving or a clean-out are quoted up front. We go over everything at your free consultation.
Should I throw things away or sort before you come?
Please don’t. Items people expect to toss often sell, and we would rather see the home as it is. Leave cabinets and closets as they are.
How long does an estate auction take?
Bidding usually runs about two weeks, with a preview for bidders and a pickup day after the close. Timing for your home is set at the consultation.
What happens to items that don’t sell?
We decide the next step using our experience: a later sale, our Buy It Now store, donation, or a clean-out.
When do I get paid?
You are paid within 30 days of each sale closing, once buyer payments clear, with a statement listing every item and what it sold for.
Do you work with executors, realtors and attorneys?
Yes. We regularly work with executors, attorneys and real estate agents to clear a home so it can be listed or settled.
What areas do you serve?
We are locally owned in the Richmond area and serve all of Virginia.
